The door to our lil kitchen swung open, after struggling to find a specific product in our humble town of Newcastle, Kwa Zulu Natal.

Skipping an ingredient in a recipe had become the norm for me, until this ingredient was PERI-PERI OIL! I'll be honest, on multiple occasions I did just use the old faithful (yet bland) uninfused oil instead, but I kept wondering how much would peri peri oil alter the taste of these recipes? I decided to put this wondering to bed by attempting to make my own Peri-Peri Oil! I scanned a few recipes online, chopped, changed, added & subtracted from multiple recipes, resulting in a few test batches.

Then ensued the agonising three week wait!! Stored in my pantry... infusing wonder... spices coming together.... In the hope of crafting thee finest Peri-Peri Oil!

Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock........

The time to drain and bottle had finally come!

MY, OH! MY!

A taste of this beautiful blend confirmed that the wait was worth every second!!

I began using my Peri-Peri Oil in any and every dish possible! I promptly made a whole big batch and gifted it to my nearest and dearest!

Filled with a new infused passion, THE KITCHEN OF LIL LUV, was set ablaze.

ALHAMDULILLAH!

But what fun would it be if we just stopped there?! We then said a warm hello to our lil sidekicks, Chilli Crunch & Onion Crunch! Need i say how many test batches and taste testing family and friends we've used in the process? - an awful lot! A fiery thank you to my dearests, your criticism has helped me achieve products of near perfection! (if I may say so myself!) Seriously though, you said it too!!
